Engineering

More than manufacturing. A Felix Boden project.

From product idea to realisation, Felix Boden provides a turnkey solution with in-house R&D, product development and process engineering. We turn customer requirements into an efficient, high-performance manufacturing system. More than manufacturing. A Felix Boden project. You imagine the product. We engineer the system.

Inlay production facility

Custom inlay production

We do not only manufacture products: we develop and engineer complete production systems tailored to our customers’ needs. This 600 m² inlay production facility is a special engineering project developed and implemented for one of our customers. All R&D, product development, process design, machine selection, custom tooling and the complete production flow have been designed and realised by the engineering team of Felix Boden.

Our goal is to create a production system that delivers consistent quality at high volumes, is scalable, and fully adapted to the customer’s product requirements.

Precision straightening

Who can straighten a 0.026 gram profile without altering its structure or colour? Of course, Felix.

With an aluminium profile weighing only 0.026 gram, even the smallest pressure can affect its form and surface quality. Felix Boden developed a dedicated straightening technology that corrects the profile with high precision without compromising its structure, surface colour or aesthetic appearance. Where conventional solutions reach their limits, our engineering begins.

  • Custom machine design. Precision straightening system developed specifically for the product.
  • High precision. Maximum control at micro tolerances.
  • Surface protection. Straightening without damaging the anodised finish or colour.
  • Serial production ready. Consistent quality, sustainable production.
CNC machining

In-house CNC machining and mechanical production

Mechanical production runs on our own machine park. A CNC 2040 machining centre, punching and drilling stations, the surface finishing line and final inspection all sit in the same halls, so geometry, surface quality and packing stay under the control of one team.

  • CNC 2040 machining centre. Cutting, drilling and milling of aluminium profiles and parts.
  • Punching and drilling stations. Operator-controlled stations for repeatable hole patterns in series.
  • Integrated surface finishing. Machined parts move straight into the finishing line — smooth, precise, durable.
  • Aluminium stock on site. Profile stock in the hall, so machining can start without waiting on material.

Anodizing

Architectural anodizing for aluminium

Our anodizing line is built for visible aluminium that has to hold colour, geometry and weather at architectural scale. High-capacity electrolytic pools and closed-system chemical baths produce a zero-defect, pinhole-free oxide layer on every profile.

The 90-micron architectural collection is engineered for maximum structural integrity. Each series undergoes a heavy-duty 90-micron anodizing treatment. The result is an absolutely flawless finish that meets the highest B2B architectural standards — consistent colour, controlled gloss and a surface that does not peel or flake.

  • 90 µm oxide layer. Heavy-duty architectural anodizing for durability, not a decorative film.
  • Pinhole-free finish. Closed-system baths and controlled current density, so the surface stays uniform across the bar.
  • Colour that lasts. Silver, satin nickel, antique brown and black held to the same standard from first piece to series.
  • European process control. Zero-waste processing principles and recyclable aluminium under European environmental standards.

Chrome Plating

Automotive-grade chrome and metal plating

Chrome plating at Felix Boden is not a spray finish. Through an advanced electrolytic process we molecularly bond metal to metal — the same multi-layered technology used in the luxury automobile industry.

Chrome and metal-plated Felix Boden aluminium profiles

Sequential base colouring, precision lacquer coating and a final protective varnish layer produce deep, authentic chrome, copper, black nickel, champagne and pewter without artificial pigmentation. The 30-micron automotive-grade collection is built for visible parts that have to look the same at volume.

  • True chrome, not paint. Electrolytic metal-to-metal bonding for a reflective chrome surface that holds under handling and light.
  • 30 µm automotive grade. The same layered process used on luxury vehicle interiors, applied to aluminium profiles.
  • Stable in series. Batch-to-batch colour and gloss control, so OEM and architectural runs stay consistent.
  • Special metals. Chrome, brass, copper, black nickel, champagne and pewter from one plating infrastructure.
